Child-Trafficking
The Combating Child Trafficking project aims to shed light on the widespread issue of human trafficking, particularly concerning children. This modern-day form of slavery affects millions of individuals worldwide, disregarding age, race, ethnicity, social status, or gender. While the common perception of child trafficking may include a stranger kidnapping a child from a parking lot, the reality is far more complex. This project seeks to dismantle misconceptions and educate the public about the multifaceted nature of child trafficking.
The project involves multiple initiatives to raise awareness, foster understanding, and empower prevention. The first component is the creation of a visually compelling clock that serves as a visual representation of the urgency and time-sensitive nature of combating child trafficking. The clock will be a striking centerpiece to draw attention and initiate discussions.
Children constitute 27% of all human trafficking victims, with approximately 130 children being trafficked worldwide every hour. The clock is intended to serve as a striking centerpiece that symbolizes the relentless passage of time, mirroring the relentless cycle of exploitation and victimization endured by children affected by trafficking. Its visual impact will underscore the pressing need for action and intervention to protect vulnerable children from falling prey to this pervasive crime.
The project aims to design and curate an immersive exhibit that focuses on the digital internet aspect of child trafficking, particularly delving into the harrowing phenomenon of online trafficking. The exhibit will serve as an educational platform to raise awareness, educate the public, and empower individuals to identify and combat online child trafficking.
This embarks on creating a comprehensive book that delves into the intricate process of developing the visually compelling clock and immersive exhibit focusing on child trafficking. This book serves as a behind-the-scenes narrative, chronicling the research, design concepts, challenges, triumphs, and the overarching mission to raise awareness and empower prevention in the fight against child trafficking.
The app design aims to provide a lifeline for victims of child trafficking, enabling them to seek help and access vital resources discreetly and safely without fear of detection by their traffickers.
The app's user interface is intuitively designed for ease of use, ensuring that victims can quickly navigate and access the resources they need, even in high-pressure situations. By employing discreet and covert features, such as hidden app icons and disguised login screens, the app ensures that victims can seek assistance without drawing attention or suspicion from their traffickers.
